The ground rules for using worktools.dev, including our as-is disclaimer and limits of liability.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of worktools.dev (the "Service"), operated by Tektonik Labs LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and forms part of these Terms.
2. The Service
worktools.dev offers free developer utilities, such as the Strapi v4 to v5 converter and placeholder text generators. The tools run entirely in your browser. No account is required, and the content you enter is not sent to or stored on our servers.
We may add, change, or remove tools, or suspend the Service, at any time and without notice.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content you enter into the tools and for having the right to use it.
- You are responsible for reviewing and testing any output before using it in your own projects, systems, or production environments.
- You agree not to use the Service in violation of any law, or to interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
4. Generated Output
Tool output is generated automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect for your specific use case. For example, the Strapi converter reshapes JSON but cannot assign Strapi 5 documentId values or account for every custom schema. Placeholder text is meant for prototyping and testing only.
You own the content you enter and the output you generate. Because processing happens in your browser, we never receive a copy of either.
5. Intellectual Property & Trademarks
The Service, including its design, code, and written content, is owned by Tektonik Labs LLC. You may not copy or redistribute the site itself without permission.
Third-party names mentioned on the Service, such as Strapi and the musical artists referenced by the K-Pop placeholder generator, belong to their respective owners. worktools.dev is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them.
6. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service links to third-party websites and services, such as Buy Me a Coffee. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service and all output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any output will meet your requirements.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tektonik Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or business, or any production incident, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service or its output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US$50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised Effective Date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
